AC Hose Routing Problem
 

So I replaced the AC hoses about 6 months ago. The other day I removed the belly pan to work on the fuel pump check valve and noticed quite a bit of abrasion on the rubber hose that runs from the evaporator to the compressor where it's rubbing on the brake line. Can anyone tell if this hose is routed properly? I tried moving it over to the other side of the 90 degree brake fitting but that looks questionable as well.

I would make a sleeve of sorts. Wrap it with some hard plastic and duct tape it on.

Crazy, don't know why but that image keeps reversing itself. Actually the hose in question is trailing off to the right.

Re route it under the brake line. Then tie strap it to the other line.

On my system I went used a piece of 7/8 rubber hose that my El Camino uses for the heater. Just cut a 2 inch long piece, slice it down one side, pry it open and put it around the AC hose, and put the split side on the opposite side of the brake line.

Mine does not touch my brake line, but when I open the engine deck lid the hose rubs against the body. After 10 years it has only a small mark on the rubber so it will never wear out. It was a perfect no cost fix, and it holds itself in place.
