Sticking oil pressure gauge question
The oil pressure gauge on my '88 Carrera is sticking at the lower end (usually either 3 or 4 bar) on an intermittent basis. The sensor still works above where it sticks. Below is a video that demonstrates this better than I can explain.
For those with experience, is this usually an issue with the gauge or the sensor? Thanks! EJP

probably the sending unit,
remove the wire. with power on check gauge, then ground the wire with power on. the gauge should go from min to max (or max to min). if so, then sending unit. some gauges work backwards from others, I think most Porsche gauges are max when wire not connected. does not really matter, you just want deflection in each direction.

Hi:
I have the same issue on my 88. Did you ever get resolution to the issue and what was the fix? Did T77911S recommendation work? Peace, SRS

Likely the sending unit. The post below has some pictures and install steps:
Replacing 5 yr old URO oil pressure sensor with new URO oil pressure sensor
