Cold start issues '83 Targa

Another cold start problem. AAV is open while cold, car takes two attempts, starts and runs poorly until driven a few feet. I have tested the fuel pressure and it seems to be within normal limits. I noticed that since it has turned a little colder the car, while still taking two attempts, will idle steadily at around 1200. I suppose that would be the cold start valve activating. Still takes a little bit to run smoothly, but then runs well. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You meant the AAR. That little elf gotta work well with the other elf in the WUR as it warms up, and it sounds like you might have a little cold running problem. not cold start meaning the CSV is likely not in play as the source of mischief. When the weather gets cold, CIS gets cranky, no surprise there, there's always the option of living with a little cranky cold idle, part of the fun.

Welcome.
