Opinions on best Targa seals?
Greetings all. Am a new member, with a recently acquired '88 Carrera Targa (red)-- very nice shape and I know it's history for the past ten years. Slowly but surely am reconditioning much of it and need a trusted source for top quality seals for my targa top: specifically the big fat seal at the front of the bar (that meets the rear of the top and rears of the door/side windows.) Money IS an object but so is quality, so I guess I'm open to the reco's of those with more experience in this area.
Thanks in advance. Andy Portland, OR

Andy-
welcome to the board. post pictures when you can - we all like seeing others rides. I think you'll find that when it comes to Targa seals, many people (myself included) recommend staying with original Porsche. The seals are unique and it just doesn't make sense to muck around with lesser quality on something as finicky as a targa top, particularly in the NW! Use the search button on the top right - there are LOTS of threads on targa tops. again, welcome! PS - our host sells the seals and they are original.
