No, I don't believe so. And just to set your expectations Mike, the factory manuals that I ordered in late August 2002 still haven't arrived. You might find a used set for sale or if your luck is better than mine, you might find a place that has a new set for sale. I hope it works out well for you.

Jim;
This doesn't sound good. What do you do to find out the basics of oil change, brake pads, door panel removal etc.??? Mike 87 Red 911 & 97 C2S GT2 |

Jim, rumour has it that there will be a new run printed this spring/summer for delivery . Bags, the three projects you mention, and more, are covered here: http://www.p-car.com/ . click on 'DYI stuff' and agree to the disclaimer, then grab your tool box!! good luck, max

yeah, what Max said...I've used the DiY procedures on p-car.com for a couple of small projects so far.
Max, I heard that rumor, too.

I just bought a complete Boxster manual on CD for $48--the official manual--and I see he also offers manuals for everything from the 356 to the 993tt. jkline@webuniverse.net. He also throws in the Porsche PET parts list as a bonus.

Are they official, in that Porsche approves of their sale, or are they bootleg manuals?

I just called the Porsche dealer that I ordered manuals through and the updated ship date is July 7th. Assuming that date holds up, I'll have waited for 10 1/2 months to get them.
I called PCNA to let them know I'm not pleased and asked them if there's anything they can do to resolve this. They'll said get back to me on this in a few days. Let's just say I'm not optimistic.

I seriously doubt the Boxster manuals that I bought--and it was $42, not $48, now that I think of it--are PCNA approved. Why would they?

I've been reluctant to buy bootleg manuals, but hey, that's just me.

Charging $42 for bootlegged manuals is outrageous. I would have no problem paying someone for their copying and shipping expenses as a public service, but profiting from IP theft is wrong.
Stephan, can you copy your cd and offer it up for $5 plus shipping? I guess I have a problem with making excessive profits on something that doesn't belong to you.

That's pretty stupid, I listed my one of my own emails again. Please don't contact jkline@webunivers or viper2380@ziplip.com. I believe the person is nuttyporschessor@hotmail.com.
I'll catch on to this computer stuff sometime. |

Well, that's pretty wierd. The gentleman who sold me the Boxster manual just asked me to repost his correct e-mail address: viper2380@ziplip.com. The nuttyporchessor address will also work.

I thought it was interesting, too. As I was saying, I'm inclined to buy factory (authorized) manuals but the wait for new ones is excruciating.
