2.2 intake manifold hole

Hi All,
can someone shed some light over what this fine threaded M10 hole is for? It is on my left intake manifold on my 71T engine.

Or is it some PO stuff and should be plugged?

Thanks for any input,
Jörgen Forssling

Vacuum Port.

Mine is for Brake Booster and Fuel Pressure Regulator.

Thanks! So I will plug it.

Excuse me for a possibly stupid question, I'm a rookie at this. But does a fuel pressure gauge work out of vacuum?

Cheers,
Jörgen

Varsågod

I should have said Fuel Pressure Regulator (which got a Vacuum Port as well as a Gauge Port) to deliver the proper amount of fuel to the injectors in line with the vacuum produce in the intake: https://www.enginelabs.com/news/video-how-a-fuel-pressure-regulator-works-with-efi-university/

Thanks for educating me JJ!
I will possibly add a fuel pressure gauge but I'm running carbs so I guess it will be without vacuum.

Be good,
Jörgen
