TPM sensors replacement
I have 2011 911 4S. I am getting a dash message indicating "TPM Partial monitoring".
I have ordered a replacement TPM sensor (Huf brand). I would like to know if I have my local tire dealer install the sensor, will it require specialized tools or "special equipment" to install and reset the TPM system?? Thanks! |
They break the bead and unbolt your TPMS. Bolt the new one in and do the reset procedure. It should reset within 5 miles. Are you the original owner of the car? If not, when one sensor dies, the others will follow. My Porsches have run about 7-8 years on the originals.

Each wheel has a TPS sender inside and the car has 4 receivers mounted to the body, one near each wheel. These receivers often fail around the 8-10 year mark and cost $$$ to have replaced.
