Bilstein Strut Insert
Evening.
Have a 1977 911s with Boge strut assembly. Ordered new Bilstein inserts from Pelican. Took apart passenger side and noted that there was no roll pin nor any holes for a roll pin. Took old insert out and noted that it has a yellow sleeved Bilstein P36-112. Made in West Germany. My issue is the new insert does not have the yellow tube and i can see no way to remove the yellow tube from the old and switch it over. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

You've got the wrong inserts. The new ones without the sleeve that use the roll pin are for cars that came from the factory with Bilstein. You need inserts designed to fit Boge strut housings. Totally different parts.
