my EFI sensors.

thought I had a pretty good idea.
I have a knock sensor on #2 and 5.
my head temp sensor is on #1.
all can be accessed by removing the alternator.
I had the heads tapped and put studs in for the knock sensors and#1 tapped for the CHT.

What EFI are you using? Is your efi knock model sufficiently sensitive to reliably detect knock in cylinders 1,3,4 & 6?

I suspect Porsche made the knock sensor bridges on 964's and 993's for a reason and didn't just rely on the cam carriers and the crankcase to transmit vibration to the sensors

Neat work BTW!

I am using a MoTec M130 ECU along with 964 knock sensor bridges and the Factory sensor. My system is able to detect knock in individual cylinders quite easily.

I am really impressed with the M130. My race engine gets really great fuel mileage...better than it did previously with 80 less horsepower. The previous ECU I used did not support sequential firing of the fuel injectors while the M130 does. Even at 8000 RPM.
