Where to get (nuts and bolts) hardware?

I'm building this 911 from scratch and it doesn't have ANYTHING. Am thinking there has to be a source where I can buy a "kit" of metric nuts and bolts for when I'm assembling. Anyone have a reco?

Harpo 10-17-2020 11:12 AM

Bellmetric is a good source

Global Metrics, Inc. Belmont, Ca.

A "kit," or at least an assortment, would be NICE.

Try EBS in Reno. They can probably help with that.

Rodney Nelson 10-18-2020 09:01 AM

Yes Belmetric. Make your own kit. You will save money and end up with more of what you actually need. It takes a bit of time to select everything you need but they come shipped in nice little bags perfectly labeled.

I also purchased some nice small hardware/craft metal drawers "Bisley" from the container store, a little pricey but awesome.

Label everything and it will speed up your job immensely.

Do they have a kit?

ian c2 10-18-2020 06:12 PM

I think a few sell kits for bolting fenders on , but I don’t recall ever seeing kits to do a full car .
It’s a pain in the arse searching pet for part numbers , but that’s what I do then order froM circle porsche in Long Beach .
Dana the parts guy would do it for me , but I wouldn’t want to give him that kind of pain for what often amounts to a $5 order :D

OH BOY! That's NICE! <drool>

Any chance you have a packing list or invoice that lists out all the fastener details? If so, any chance you can share with us.

As an aside, is that an RSR finish Fuchs as garage art? How did you mount it to the wall?

Classic 9 has a few kits, mostly interior though: Metric Screws Brackets Nuts Bolts for Porsche

I have a setup really similar to Rodney. I haven't had to go to the store to buy nut or bolts in almost 10 years.

McMaster-Carr is a great resource as well. Especially for us on the East Coast of the US. You'll often get your order next day.

Some premade metric kits. But they have everything in Metric hardware you would ever need on the shelves too.

Hi Frank,

I just dug through my invoices and I found the list... It includes all the mm hex bolts, allen head bolts, washers, lock nuts, lock washers, as well as a bunch of different sizes of speed clips and some black interior screws and washers.

Oh, and yes the Fuch is a 15 x 7, RSR Finished and it is for my spare wheel for the build I'm working on... can't wait until I can actually put it in the Trunk. I have it just sitting on a "U" shaped black wooden stand.
