targa bar wiring
I appear to have lost power to my dome light in the targa bar....can anyone explain to me the route the wire takes to get to the light so i can try to trace it and or replace it?
thanks ps: yes, I test lamp and tested ground too..they work fine and there is power at the fuse out |

Before you do much searching, I just wanted to make sure you realize that the dome light pivots to 3 positions: off, door switch and on.

Also, be sure to test the door switches first as they are prone to failure.
If you still believe wiring at the dome light is the culprit you can remove the interior argali bar trim panel and access the light fixture and wiring.

On my car, the +12v for the dome light starts in the frunk on the passenger side under the hinge for the hood. It's the same circuit that powers the light in the frunk. If you trace the wire from the frunk light, you'll find it connected together with the one that heads to the dome light.

Yes, i tested light in 3 positions, works fine with direct connect to +/- and works if i supply power and use targa bar ground wire, so its definitely the power feed thats fubar. Door switches ere also tested and worked fine
Quick..thanks..i wouldnt have looked there! I ll test today |
