Help early 911 Targa questions
I am trying to determine if a 1969 911E, chassis 11 921 0523, would use the older or newer version of the 67-73 Targa top and seals. They changed somewhere in the 1969 model year. Can anyone give a chassis number for the change?
Also, anyone have knowledge of a soft read window setup to convert a glassback into a soft rear window? Any help appreciated. |

Another project nears completion I just acquired a set up and the parts should have arrived at automotive innovations...just haven't had the time to go see them...I am adding the soft rear to a 73 chassis and will do a detailed documentation of it I've talked to people who have done it...hardest part is finding a complete set...expect to pay 1200 for a bunch of rusty parts...and an additional 400 for replacement window...and another 60 or so for the boot cover once you have the parts you just need to weld some brackets and install... let me know if you need leads for parts...they are very hard to come by... also MarkWilson has a soft rear chassis for 1250 right now...it includes the rear window harware...so for the price of the hardware you can have a whole car!!! check the pelican classifieds MJ |
