vacuum module for 2.7L distributor?

I've got the Bosch JFUD6 distributor on my 2.7, the vacuum retard actuator has a slow leak, and I think it's messing with my CIS at part throttle. I currently live in Oregon where this thing has to pass DEQ every couple of years and so the emissions reduction at idle is a necessary evil (otherwise I'd try to just disconnect/run without it).

I'm having trouble finding "reasonably-priced" replacements. Suggestions?

Most of those 76/77 vacuum units were blocked from the factory with a red plastic inline plug on the unit and a hose attached to that so people wouldn't ask questions.

I am sure i have a good used one but realize these things are 45 + - years old now and when put back in operation how long will it last. Pm me the # on the diaphragm operating rod if you want to try a used one. If you can pass Emissions with out it just put a BB in the hose to block the vacuum leak but still retain the correct "look"

Hmmm....OK - So I guess I'll try to run with the vacuum module disconnected.

Timing is set at high RPM. Disconnecting the vacuum module will cause advance and an increase in idle speed. Should be just as simple as lowering the idle speed, right?
