Distributor cap clip

I replaced the cap and rotor on my 77 Targa. The clip holding the cap on the one side is
loose and I'm kinda baffled about why. Looks like its clipped in at the base although it is
a tight space and perhaps I'm over looking something simple. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Check that the distributor cap key and the distributor notch are aligned. The cap may be on 180 degrees off..

I have the same issue. I don't know that I'd call mine loose, just a little sloppy. I seem to recall the cap being held very securely on my old VW (the last car I had with a distributor before this one) I started a thread about it recently.
