915 Tweaking Question - Bit of a grind

So...I think some of you know my recent updates, but if not here:

-New clutch cable
-Newly adjusted said cable
-New brass everything in the pedal box
-New brass spacers in the shift linkage

So now as I shift 1-2 and then 2-3 and 3-4 I am getting just the hint of a grind...very brief...but something that wasn't there before. Shifting is good...just this 1/4 second grind/bite.

Is this the link/shifter or the cable adjustment? Got any ideas? Many thanks in advance.

Either you are shifting too fast or your clutch is misadjusted....

Did you recheck your initial adjustments. Is your clutch pedal about the same height as your brake and is the clutch engaging at about 1/3 pedal travel.

That all sounds right. I'll double check tomorrow. Thanks.

your brass bushings don't provide any play in the linkage anymore, so your alignment must be adjusted VERY precise.
and even then it's no help.
the more stiff/solid the linking is, the more downside it brings regarding good adjustment results and changes of shift feel when cold/hot.

I'd remove the brass bushings and swap for poly bushings and improve your hand-shifting according to the shift pattern.
