Working on the hand throttle (post forthcoming).
I disconnected the e-brake to work on the throttle cable/hand throttle fix. When I buttoned it all back up, I can NOT pull up on the e-brake. It is solid rock. Almost like it would feel when fully engaged. So I took it back apart again. I can barely even pull on this connection here. Am I missing something? Can an ebrake cable get stuck in the rear somewhere?! Thank you for helping, I'm in a bit of a pickle! Here is where I stand: ![]() |

Its almost like the ebrake connection slid back and is hung up on something. I mean, I can't even pull it forward to reconnect it. Its about 1/2" backward now. (Car rolls fine, so the ebrake is NOT engaged.)
Either something is strange here, or I am an idiot (likely the case!) ![]() Here is the ebrake handle assembly installed. If I used a punch and push hard forward to get the bolt holes to line up, even Arnold in his prime couldn't pull up on the ebrake handle. This leads me to believe the assembly is hung up somewhere. I don't know. Last edited by dmaddox; 11-14-2020 at 10:09 AM.. |

Solved.
(For those that may run into this) - its a silly mistake on my part, but hey....now we know. Jack up the car, the two ebrake cables (if you accidentally push back on them from the tunnel) can get hung up when trying to pull up to the front. So, just re-seat them and you're good to go. Here: ![]() |

What do you mean "hung up"?
Are those black sheaths supposed to move ? If not, how does the cable inside get hung up based on the positonnig of the sheath?
