Rough Idle, dies when cold
New problem this spring upon cold startup. . . engine initially idles at 1200 but if any throttle is applied it won't hold idle at all unless the throttle is feathered. Once warm, idles perfectly at 950.
All sensors check out good - could it be the air/idle bypass valve? (idle speed was adjusted to 1100 when local wrench handled my emissions test - readjusted back to spec afterwards). |

(great shot!) I dont know about your problem....but I really like that fog lamp "black void" look on your 911...I've never seen that on a 911 before...very cool. I have an SC and the fog lamps just hang there like a pair of unwanted testicles....I think I may go for your look, to reduce oil temps.... |
Thanks Tight - taking advantage of the openings to duct air to front rotors (look closely for the 3" hose, routed to "hats" at hub with block-off plates) and oil cooler (which is completely sealed on sides and underneath with aluminum flashing). Wire mesh finishes it off, painted flat black. Doing all I can to prevent brake fluid boiling at the track and keep engine temps down.
