Tell Me About Your Steering Wheel

Anybody here install a MoMo, NRG, Nardi, Sparco, etc. wheel on a 74 and up 911S? Do your turn signal cancelling and horn still work? If so, please tell me what hub adapter you used.

for momo, sparco, omp pattern you can use momo hubs C231 or L231. in order to make the turn signal cancelling work, you have to use the ring on the rear of the original wheels and bolt that on the rear of the momo hub. Easy peasy...

I had a Nardi. It is a nice wheel but replaced it the larger Porsche wheel. Turn signal cancel did not work.

Momo Suede dished

in my '74 Targa. I like the extra spave between the dash and indicator stalks and the steering wheen. Maybe a bit close to the seat (I have short legs) but all in all good.
Round and centered - I personally do not like offset (like in the 996 and up Porsches) or flat-bottomed steering wheels. But each to their own.
Everything works, signal cancel and horn.

'75 Targa - Momo Prototipo with the L231 adapter and JWest adapter for extra gauge visibility - horn cancel ring moved from the original wheel to the hub - Turn signals cancel and horn works.

Thanks to all for the input. I'm using a Sparco hub and it won't go down all the way due to a "collar" on the steering shaft that is in the way. After searching the web, I now believe that "collar" is actually a steering column bushing replacement (sold by Pelican) that hasn't been driven in all the way. I'll get a long socket out and try to seat it tomorrow.

you must mount horn cancel ring at the base of the hub in this way, that the cancelling finger faces at 8-oclock position (from drivers point of view).

and make sure its not broken.

I just wanted to thank you guys who answered and talked about the horn cancel ring. I can't believe I was so dense that I didn't realize what you were talking about till now. My excuse is that the original wheel is back on the car and the Sparco hub has that molded in. Anyway, although it took a while for what you were saying to sink in, I'm on the right track now and I appreciate it very much.
