Pulled the engine.. first several of many CIS/Clutch questions to come

I just dropped my engine in my 1980 SC thinking I have a broke clutch fork but nope.. the bearings fell out in the Release Bearing and ripped off Circlip, thus the clutch could not engage.

A few questions after my first lookover:

The boot on the top of the CIS is plugged in the back.. any ideas why or what that should be connected to?

My oil pressure sender doesn't seem to be hooked up. Where is the wire supposed to come from? I have these two brown wires in the front of the engine that seem to have been cut. Not sure if they have something to do with the sender or not.

My clutch doesn't see to be too warn but I'm going to replace it. Thoughts on getting the flywheel resurfaced?

The back of the CIS boot has a large metal fitting, from that a hose goes to the right side of the car for the oil tank vent.

There should be a single spade connector for that oil pressure "idiot" light somewhere in the vicinity of that wire harness. If not, some one cut it.

The brown wires seem to be ground.

Thank you! Any thoughts on the flywheel?

I'd have it resurfaced and replace the crank seal while it's off.

Wear limit on the flywheel is 8.5mm with max runout of .1 mm. I didn't trust anyone locally to machine mine so I replaced with new.

For the idiot light look for a green/white wire.

This. A new one is not that expensive and you know it is flat and in full spec.

This has nothing to do with Porsche cars but it fun to watch.
