Vacuum line cut / disconnected
![]() ![]() The motor was recently dropped for a new clutch and some other while you are in there items. I noticed that there is a vacuum line that is not connected. Any idea where it goes and what it is connected too? This is on the passenger side behind the air box. |

It’s actually a fuel line if the pressure regulator diaphragm was to fail, the raw fuel would return to the throttle body
Line is hard black plastic going to a Y connection under the throttle body. One to each pressure regulator. Bruce |

It goes to a hard plastic hose then to a “y” connector to the throttle body and ties to other regulator on other side of the motor .

But, the line does split "Y" to both the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel damper so I suppose that makes sense in the damper side. Either way, you have a vacuum leak with the line unattached. |

Fuel damper........

Bruce, I believe that is a fuel damper in the picture. Not a fuel pressure regulator that is installed by the driver side fuel rail. Both are vacuum controlled. Tony |

I don’t read the PET for the nomenclature, I just know where the parts go and to reference part numbers if needed, which is usually why I’m in PET

Thanks all, I will see if it is just disconnected or completely missing. A little disappointed it isn’t sorted properly after being out.
From a driving perspective it’s smelled very rich, not sure if this is the culprit or that is a separate issue. |
