964 flare questions
Converting a NB 964 to wide using 930 rear flares. There are clearly some differences in the area the the rocket attaches to. I was told there are are some differences in flare profile, which there are. But I’m trying to find someone with experience in this. The issue I can’t get me head around is that the flare is dead level with the highest arch spot of the NB oem flare (still not cut out). And the rear flange that meets the bumper is spot on level with the existing body. But the area around the rocker doesn’t match up. The 930 flare is curved to the body contour of the rocker. But when all else is level the curved part of the flare hits higher on the rocker. Meaning the contour of the flare does not lay flush with the rocker. I know that this area will need to be cut and modified anyhow. But I wanted to see in anyone has run into this? If I bring down the flare to meet the rocker contour it drops the highest part of the arch by Ive an inch, and the rear bumper mating surface also does not stay level.
Can anyone confirm this fitment. If anyone has the difference in arch height between the front and rear turbo flare would also be a great help. The arch height on the rear flare should stay the same regardless of wide or narrow body is what I have had a number of people tell me. True? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Pelican peeps! ![]() ![]() ![]()

Are you supporting the left rear of the car with the thermostat? That is not a jack point.......

Of course it is...even the photos show that. I really meant to type “right rear”. The funny thing is that I had written “passenger side rear” and changed it because of the Brits....

Anybody that could give me some 964 measurements would be great. Bottom corner of the door sill corner to the highest point of the arch, and from that same point to the bottom corner of the tail light corner would do. If anyone has a cab, from the highest part of the arch to 90 degrees to the bottom of the soft top would give me a good idea as well. Have check the 964 workshop manuals. There are ATS to be nothing with body measurments out there. Thanks all!
