backlit issues speedometer 1986
 

when I pull the light switch in parking lights mode, the top backlit goes on (pict 2)
when I pull the headlights on, it stays on but at about 1/2 intensity. (pict 3)
Does not look normal? Ideas?

mystery solved! Seems that the previous owner had the two top bulb leads switched. The white and the black in the picture above should be exchanged one for the other. That means that the green warning light on the speedo goes on only when the parking lights are on, and off when the headlights are on. Why Porsche decided I need not be warned that I left the headlights on is another mystery ;)
