The clip on the inner fender is the U shaped removeable clip. The clip on the strut requires breaking the line to remove. Not very helpful for caliper movement. |
So, I spoke too soon. I do have a removable clip which attaches to the body, but unfortunately I have a non removable clip on the strut.
I just did one of the front brakes today, and I removed the hard line going into the caliper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Did that 2 winters ago when upgrading to 964 calipers.
Measured the needed length, chose the appropriate fittings at both ends and ordered online with a manufacturer for hydraulic https://up.picr.de/42405641ed.jpeg https://up.picr.de/42405643ks.jpeg https://up.picr.de/42405645jp.jpeg https://up.picr.de/42405648xg.jpeg https://up.picr.de/42405649zg.jpeg |
Looks look amazing. Love the work!

Thank you for sharing this. Is this part list for a turbo car, or what model?
I am looking to do flexible front brake lines on my 88 M491 911 (turbo brake setup). Or… can anyone verify the fittings needed on either end? 1) Fitting type at the caliper? 2) fitting type at hardline coming into wheel well? (10mm?) Ideally I’d order lines assembled to the correct specs without adapters like I’ve done on other vehicles in the past. Thanks! |
Fittings should be the same. Inlet to turbo caliper is in different position than other calipers, so check the length of the flexible line.

So for the front is it a 90 degree M10 male into the caliper, and a straight M10 female to connect to the factory hard line?
