Exactly, when I got a closer look I thought I was seeing things. I kept looking for the slot in the tabs like every other brake setup I have ever seen. That's when the chorus of "Dear God, why?" started. :eek:

The clip on the inner fender is the U shaped removeable clip. The clip on the strut requires breaking the line to remove. Not very helpful for caliper movement.

So, I spoke too soon. I do have a removable clip which attaches to the body, but unfortunately I have a non removable clip on the strut.

I just did one of the front brakes today, and I removed the hard line going into the caliper.

Did that 2 winters ago when upgrading to 964 calipers.

Measured the needed length, chose the appropriate fittings at both ends and ordered online with a manufacturer for hydraulic
