993 964 steering rack rebuild.

Watched bearded garage video on YouTube. Input shaft seal he shows going into housing one way but then holds it next to the shaft the other orientation.

Which way does this top seal go and then also the bearing just below that? I looked at the KLA site and the directions don’t show which way the seal goes.

Spring side toward the bottom of car or top of the car?

This one looks like it face spring up to hold fluid into the valve assembly. If it's at the top of the valve assembly, it should face words up spring down.

That’s the same video that I am confused about. Later in the video he shows the other one on top with the spring away from the fluid and bearing. Spring facing upwards to the steering wheel, even though he says facing downwards next to the upside down top housing. I did research and there are these seals that also have spring away from the fluid. Typically it is spring towards the fluid. Not sure which type this is. Thanks!
