Remove and replace EGR light- but with what?
The EGR system on my 77S is inoperable but the light is still in the dash. I don’t really care that it’s there but if I could put something useful there that would be better.
Thus far I haven’t been able to think of anything to put there... any ideas? I know this is super unimportant but the car is at the shop and I’m bored...🤷*♂️ |
I have the same issue in my '75.
I had added an external cooler and fan; had considered putting in a light to indicate when the fan was running. Used a lighted switch instead. Some other things I had considered (and haven't done anything yet): Pushbutton for hidden garage door opener? (Not really in a useful spot.) Indicator that fog lights are on? Or that radio antenna is up (if using an electric antenna)? Extra oil-pressure or voltage warning light? Add a temp switch and have a oil temp too hot light? Connect in parallel to the CIS cold start valve so that I know when it's on? Put in a novelty "Pilot Ejected" light? Add AFR monitoring and add an indicator light for when mixture goes too lean? Anyway, my EGR light is still in the dash and unlit... |
Rev limiter light.

I put an alarm blinker in mine.

USB charger?

I put a small digital LED voltmeter in mine.

Rev limiter light is a good one - hadn't thought of that...
