How much Hp?
My '70T 2.2 had been rebuilt by the PO. Examination of the details from the shop records shows that E pistons and an E cam was used during the rebuild retaining the 2.2 displacement. I know that in '70 the T had 125hp and the E had 155hp. I am thinking that the engine now would fall somewhere in the middle since it still retains the zenith carbs and not the MFI of a full E. I'm guessing around 140hp or so. It does feel a lot peppier than I would imagine 125hp would be but I don't have anything to compare it to. Any ideas if I am correct in my assumptions?

My guess: 155 HP E - 10 HP for lack of MFI = 145.

From what I know (not much), I'd agree with about 140 -145 HP
Sometimes those 2.2 can run a little "loose" and provide a little more umphh. Is she a goer - 'eh?

Thnaks for confirming what I thought. Like I mentioned, the car seems more lively than one would expect.

John is so in tune with early engines, I bet he could tell you hp losses from idling..
