Yup, no problem. Here's a set fitted to a friends 79SC with my Cibie Biode reproductions as a replacement for the sealed beam.

Note that the Hella SB 19s designed/destined for for a vw beetle or Porsche 356 will have a tab protruding from the bottom of the trim ring. Since our Porsches expect a hole in the trim ring itself, be sure you either get a headlight assembly with the proper trim ring version or find/secure the appropriate trim ring, as the tab won't work on a 911

Soterik....great photo. I have yours ( just a beautiful piece) ..and trying to get all components needed .
Question...seems from photo the small metal tabs of inner liner extend into the openings in the frame but are not locked down , so what holds the bulb ? Is it just the spring clips ?
I know it’s a silly question but don’t want to damage or have loose bulb
Thanks
Frank

Those tabs are to align the headlight to that outer ring.
At the rear the headlight has some glass tabs that align to the rear ring.
The headlight is held with the wire clips on the back with the ring that has the tabs. That is done to align the fluted lens of the headlight to the housing and the light pattern points to where it should be.

If you currently have European H4s the only pieces you need to source are the clear glass and the two rings to use the Biodes and use the existing housing and trim ring. Just replace the reflector for the Biode with the two rings and use the clear glass instead of the fluted H4 glass.
Very easy to do.
