911 Horn Replacement - ‘88 911

Seeking a direct replacement for my horn...I found a Stebel nautilus design said to be for a motorcycle that sounds appropriate, but would really like to know if others have found a product that is essentially OEM...even possibly from a newer 911 model. Or better idea(s)?

I had a lot of trouble with other drivers not noticing the lil' 911 in the next lane and nearly side swiping me. Plus old ladies reversing at me in the supermarket car park. So I bought a Stebel black nautilus like that, but in full size. Wow! It works so well I bought one for the Corolla too. REALLY LOUD.

It gives inattentive drivers such a fright they nearly crash in the other direction LOL. Well built and good quality. I highly recommend it.

Bill...do you know the model number? It seems like there are not any specifically for cars, but I do see where people installed this “compact” one on a car. Reviews on Amazon say it is 12v, but needs 18 amps...I’m not sure about the current horn wiring on my car. Did you have to do anything as far as wiring is concerned?

Trent, it will be this one, and I bought it with the relay + wiring kit which makes things easier. I wanted the relay to get as much current going to the horn as possible.

Have a nautilus...don’t recall the installation being too difficult. Very loud.

Thanks, Bill!

Spool/Bill...does very loud translate to too loud or obnoxious?

Nope. Just more noticeable. I think it’s 130-135db. Not like a La Cucaracha horn which by the way is my next mod.

Just LOUD. And I only toot the horn if the other person needs it. Times like old ladies reversing without looking and about to hit me, truck drivers who think they need to drive half on my side of the road as well as their own.
