spark plug gap

I bought a set of NGK BPR6ES 7131 plugs for my 1987 Carrera.
The plugs come from the factory as Gap: .035" (0.9mm).
Should I leave the gap as is or adjust them to???...
personal experience with an 84-89 with this plug is well appreciated

0.032"

Bentley manual says 0.028 to 0.032.

Our rule of thumb is .032" for Electronic (CDI) ignition, and .028 for non, such as 356's and some very early cars.

My 87 Carrera Owner's Manual list the spark plug gap as 0.028 in./0.70 mm with plugs Bosch WR7DC, Bosch WR7DP and Champion RN7YC. The NGK BPR6ES are equivalent plugs per online cross references.

I've run the NGK plugs and had no problems with them. That gap to me seems a little large so I would adjust it.
