74 911 L Fender Plumbing upgrade :-)

Hi Guys,

Im going through my dad's 74. I've ordered a new boot to replace the perished origina fuel tank fillerl boot and am going to eliminate the 50 gallon washer tank, hang a bag in the frunk and replumb but retain the vapor canister to be somewhat environmentally responsible, but also because, i know that the tank needs to breathe, as fuel is consumed
I am replacing the rusted out tank, filler boot, perished hoses, and all fuel hoses to the new EFI.

I'd welcome any suggestions from those that have been through the fender rehab.

At 72, I never cease to be dumpfounded at my ignorance, but rejoice in my enthusiasm to maintain and hopefully improve the machine, so i can dance with it on the track.

Perhaps a bit overstated, but not lacking in enthusiasm,

Waiting to put the pedal down,
chris
