welmeister chip
Hi all
I've noticed some of you are using weltmeister or authority chip for 3.2 motors. I'm very interested in , but does it run with high octane fuels like 98 we have here in europe ?. Where are those chips available ? thanks Philippe |

I don't have a specific answer to your question...but I can offer this:
Euro 98 octane fuel is "about" equal to US spec 93 octane ( rating methodology is different). So there is a possible match. Try to locate SteveW here on the list who can give an objective overview of Weltmeister vs Autothority chips...and a somewhat subjective ( but accurate) view of his own chips that he offers. ---Wil Ferch

You also need to know which chip your car has - 24 pin (through mid-'87) or 28 pin (mid-'87through '89).
If your car is European-spec your gains may be less than a US-spec car would see. These chips generally provide more ignition advance, enriched fuel map and a raised RPM limit. And I agree - contact Steve Wong for a custom chip.
