sticky residue on fan & a/c belts
This AM changed both fan and a/c belts, then went for drive. When back home, rechecked belt tension. Interesting that bentley says belt tension should allow only a 0.2" deflection, but Wayne says (in 101 projects) to allow 0.25 " to 0.5". But I digress.
After driving, _both_ belts had a thin, sticky, black residue on the inside (the side that contacts the pulleys). Is this normal?
