Coil / Distributor Wiring

Question related to the wiring harness section photo below on my ‘72 2.4

I believe I have the wiring down but want to confirm. My main question is where the ground attaches to the distributor.

Here is what I believe:

- One braided ground end attaches to the coil mount.
- The green wire near that end attaches to the negative terminal of coil.
- The other braided ground end attaches to the distributor but I am not sure where?
- There is a black wire and a purple/black coming off as well. I believe both of these attach to the spade connection on the distributor (piggy back)?

Help is appreciated!

Actually I am now thinking the ground connects to the motor behind the distributor instead of to it?

On my 73 2.4 the second braided wire has always gone to ground on one of chain cover stud nuts.

The black, CDI C terminal, and bk/prpl, tach signal, piggy back on distributor.
I would check to see if that green wire is actually a faded blue from A terminal on the CDI to 15 on the coil. There is a green wire in the harness for Sportmatic oil temp. Porsche uses brown for grounds, not green as US does.

Here is a photo I found showing the coil ground is a short brown wire from the mounting stud along with the small shielded wire, with the ignition wire shields opposite side. I can't say where the distributor ground originally went.
