AHH the life of a porsche owner(smaller pics)

Well I had a really crappy day at work today and didn't get out of work til 6 but this evening made the last 6 months all worthwhile. Just washing the turd made my day and that's before I took it around the block again
sorry about the large pics, I don't have GIMP installed yet.

edit: ok here's some more sane pictures

Tell me, Tim, the 2nd picture is blurred, was your engine running when you took that one?
(Forgive me, couldn't resist...)

Looks great Tim (especially off of the cinder blocks)! Now for the next task...have you ever 'waxed a turd'?

I like the brown so all this talk about Hershey and turd is really not called for.

Tim, we gotta get you to speak nicely about your 911. How 'bout painting her some nice color (Fishcop blue, for example) so you can give her a proper nickname.

He's a guy on a budget, I bet he's a Linux user. Solaris isn't near as cheap as Redhat or Mandrake.

Wow, I am at work on a better than T1 connection and those are taking a while. Dialup users beware.

Oh John, don't take offense! Tim (affectionately) refers to it as 'the turd', and he is planning on going to the Hershey swap meet this weekend, so it's all in jest! I like brown also...

My car is also known effectionately as the brown turd. It was given the name shortly after I bought it in 1991. It is a color (mocha Brown) that will grown on ya after a while. I am considering another color for the repaint but I am also torn between keeping it as original as possible.

Tim,
You know, your car looks more like a Hershey bar than a turd. The Hershey bar wrapper is brown and is lettered in silver much like your window trim. Your car looks good.

Sorry about the late post but I've been at hershey (is that a good excuse?)

After going up to hershey and coming back to look at this thread I've decided I REALLY like the sepia brown. I didn't see a single sepia brown car up there. I think I've finally decided to keep the brown color, it's unique.

I forgot to mention I didn't touch the wheels or rocker trim. I just wanted to get all the crap off the paint. Tomarrow she'll get a proper wash and wax.

Hmm.. the hershey bar? that might not be a bad nickname.

There are about a gazillion free programs that will resize those pics for you. Of course I have no problem viewing them. I load the files and take them to the local IMAX theater.
