Battery Refurb...ing...
I'm looking for a way to possibly refurbish the batteries in my 72' T.. as opposed to going to the dealership and dropping a $100 bucks a piece for new ones..
Have any of you guys or gals got any experience doing this? Any input would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance! ![]() |

Get one Optima dry battery for about $100, and fit it sideways in one of your battery compartments. No more acid, no worries....;-)

I have a pair of GNB (now Exide) in my 1973. They seem ok. If I was looking for a replacement, I owuld seriously consdier the Optima to aviod the constant worry I have over acid damage.

Thanks for the feedback!.....
Yeah...the acid is a killer.... When I originally purchased this "dog" 8 years ago ....it only had one battery....went ahead and bought two new batteries with 2 year warranties from the dealership... I've managed to keep them going for about 5 years now... they just won't hold a charge now... just trying to keep it somewhat original... I'll check out the optimas! Thanks again! ![]() |
