3.2 intermittent no run

An 85 Carrera that we rebuilt the transaxle, and replaced the clutch and flywheel. Once completed, the car cranked and ran fine for a number of test drives, then suddenly no run. Had fuel delivery but no spark. A relay didn't help. His DME works in another car. Checked the wave form on the flywheel sensors and they both look very weak compared to specs and another car here in the shop. I had set the sensors at .038'' and the bracket is secure. Since both sensors appear faulty, I might suspect our flywheel though I don't know what could fail on a flywheel and the threaded pickup is in place. A day later she cranked and ran, and has now failed again. Any thoughts/ Thanks, Bob

Flywheel sensors. Like you said.

My 84 Carrera ran like a bucking bronco for a short period of time. We found it was the flywheel/speed sensors.

Check your ECU for broken solder joints in the ignition area and repair. Fixed my ‘86.
You can check your sensor function through the ECU plug.
