Carpet options for 1977 Targa

Hi all,
Its time to replace the carpet in my 1977 Targa.

So my designer wife hates sliverknit and wants me to go with squareweave. My car is mostly stock. The color is silver with Cork interior. No plans to sell, but how much of an issue for future resale is changing carpet type? Cool upgrade or heresy?

I know what opinions are like, but let me know what you think.
