Which after market sport seat to buy?
Hi Pelicans,
My car came originally with leatherette sport seats with basketweave inserts. Someone swapped them for new-fangled comfort seats way back in the 1980's. Which aftermarket seat is the best match to the originals? GTSClassics or Exotic Car Seats? or another? They both advertise to be exact matches (but Exotic also indicates a seat hinge upgrade.) Id love to find originals to reupholster but highly unlikely and I don't have $15k to spend on nice originals that probably don't match material, color and insert type. Thanks in advance! |

I’m really really happy with the dresser sport s reps from exotic car seats in mine.
They had them in stock and arrived in a week. I’ve driven cars with original and a few different versions of reps and these to me feel the best. Right stuffing, right position, etc... ![]() ![]() Last edited by spyerx; 01-31-2021 at 11:38 AM.. |

spyerx, Thanks for the quick reply and recommendation. Those look great, and so does your car.
Is it Tangerine or Signal Orange? Mine is Tangerine and came with brown interior and sport seats. |

Check out BF-Torino. I'm working on a build and I am going to get a pair of their Le Mans seats. They have tons of options and with the shipping and the exchange rate they are still very affordable.

Hi Rodney,
Good option. Those look just like the others but at a much better price point even after conversion with a weak dollar. Please let me know your impression when they arrive. Thanks much |

Tangerine with brown would be a great color combo! Quote:
Unfortunately i don’t know the brand. They felt very different to mine but looked similar. |

Can’t speak to that particular seat, but I’ve had their Rally ST seat for 2 years and can’t recommend it enough. The conversion rate makes it that much sweeter.

I agree with the post #2 that dresser (d'eser) makes incredible sport seats. Spend some time on their facebook page looking at some of the pics. I would likely go with them when it's time for me to get a set of aftermarket sports seats.

They build their own sport seats and they look quite nice I remember seeing them in person at the Porsche Literature meet a couple of years ago. Many choices out there for sure.
