Does numbered oil gage use different sender?

I'm trying to find out if an oil temperature gage would require a different sending unit than the one on my 84 cab that is not numbered. Any info would greatly appreciated.

Thanks'

Jeff

Yes, I found this out the hard way.

Yes, kits are available that include both parts.

Thanks for the input. I'm considering buying a used gage, but don't want to if I can't get the sending unit for a reasonable price. Anyone know the part number for the sending unit?
