Porsche 911SC 1980 rear speakers not stereo
Hello
My 911sc has its stock speaker setup. 2 speakers in the door and 2 in the rear shelf. The two in the rear are connected together and only one set of speaker wires go to the front of the car. The result is they are not stereo. Is this correct and if so how where they originally connect to the radio? To the left of right front speaker? Many thanks |

Mine were this way. The separation is so small, I can't believe it matters. But I changed it.

Mine were that way too - 1982 model. I suspect they were all like that.

I just replaced my rear speakers and I discovered the same set up. Basically, a 3rd channel, a popular arrangement in the mid '70's(had one in college).
I left mine as I found it after replacing the speakers. Nostalgia, originality or too lazy to run a wire? Not sure. I do not believe that right or left connection matters for the rears.
