Clutch release lever differences between 1977 Turbo and S
Hi Folks,
My clutch is very stiff. I know that could mean I need a new clutch, but I've heard it could be a broken helper (omega) spring. Since the helper spring is cheaper than a new clutch, I figured I'd start there. I'm going through the parts and I noticed that the clutch release lever part on my 915 transmission was for a Turbo. There is a big difference in price between the Turbo and the S, but they look similar in pictures. Anyone have experience with both to know what's the difference? Should I buy the non-turbo part? https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/91511671701.htm?pn=915-116-717-01-OEM&fc=Y Vs... https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/93011671702.htm?pn=930-116-717-02-OEM&fc=Y Thanks! |
That part would not cause a stiff clutch. The lever above it, the one you're having trouble getting the roll pin out of would. With the small lever removed does the larger one turn freely on the shaft?
Other things to check are the pedal bushings and the cable it self. |
Thanks Pete. Yeah, I'm basically replacing everything. From the clutch pedal bushings all the way the the lever. Wondered if the size difference might affect anything.
