What to do with my window regulators

I have pulled most of everything out of my door except for the window regulators. They work fine for being 47 years old. I could clean them up and put them back in or electroplate them. Looking for some advice here. Are the rollers replaceable?

Thanks

David

I recommend checking the slotted pins where one end of the winder spring inserts into the slot...typical for that slot to enlarge (spread apart) and then break. If at all suspect, I'd recommend replacing those pins.

^^^ What he said, but replace the old aluminum ones with steel from PP. Also after 47 years, they deserve a cleaning and lub of the pivot points and window slides. You probably won't notice a difference, but they'll be ready for another 47 years. Plus it's a really easy job.

Good call 73pcar. I will be needing one of these:

This will be an improvement. This is the rennline repair part from the link above. Super easy to remove the old one.

Know anyone with a 3D printer?

The Nylon sliders cleaned up pretty good and I really can see no wear to speak of so I will reuse them. The rest of it is being sent to Tru-6 to be either cerakoted or electroplated.

I'm on the same job. Sliders, springs etc. all look great after a good clean. Ordered new pivot pins. Question about plating the assembly, how dismantled does it need to be? Obviously it will be in 2 parts as the pivot pins come out (one original, one replacement welded in) waiting for new ones but what about the other pivots on the arms, can I leave those attached for plating? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3ef185d47b.jpg
