Rebel S Racing Front & Rear Bushings

I'm really hoping you can help me. I'm on my first 911 restomod project ('77 Targa S) and making good progress but I've hit a stumbling block. Like most folks,I'm on a budget so I was very excited to be offered a lightly used "complete" front and rear RSR bushing set, here in Australia. On the other side of the country, but close enough ! Sadly I got ripped off - the "complete" set actually turned out to be very "incomplete". Unlike the 5 PP forums sellers I've dealt with who were all A1, the seller has gone to ground having refused to accept this, or refund me. Lesson learnt, don't use FB Marketplace.

I really want to use these bushings and can't afford to buy a complete new set, so I need to replace:
  • all 4 stainless steel inner races on the front bushings (red arrows to them in pic)
  • 2 inner races for the rear (circled red on RSR pic)
  • fasteners - can anyone confirm the gauge/length/pitch of the pan head screws for the TB Cover plate?

Also - the thermoplastic bushing that sits inside the race in the TB tube has been removed, is this just a press fit into the race or is there adhesive?

I've already tried Clint at Rebel and will keep trying to reach him, but in case I can't source these parts from him, one other option is to get them machined locally. Does anyone have a set to hand that they could measure, or know where I can get the exact dimensions?

Or anyone have any other advice/ideas?
Thanks all!
JC

I'd have to think it would be cheaper/easier to buy spares from Clint than reverse engineer a set and have a local shop make one-offs. Keep trying - Clint is tough to reach but makes great stuff.

You might try contacting them through their EBay store. Just a thought.

These are Elephant Racing races for their poly bronze joints. Easy to get, not sure if they'll fit for you though...

It's highly probable the reason you didn't get those races from your seller is because they're still JB-welded to A-arms and spring plate tubes. I'm surprised you do have the inboard races for the chassis because those also are required to be epoxied in place.

The plastic liners are not a press fit. They are a very precise, tight slip fit into the parts and do not require an adhesive. It takes some effort to get them out but should not require a press.

I can measure the length of the mounting bolts for you. I have a set of these on the shelf at home. I can measure the stainless steel sleeves as well. But I would recommend holding out until Clint gets back to you.

Thank you all for the replies and pictures, very helpful and good advice.

Clint came back to me and is able to supply replacement parts. That's, as stated above, the best option for sure.
