Planned Shakedown Road Trip 86 Targa
I have been posting here in the last two months, asking questions and soliciting advice as I tried to get my car running. Thanks to some much needed help, I got my car running. I would like to take it on a short road trip from Vegas to Baker, CA.
New oil, new gas w octane boost, changed the gear oil (the drain plug magnet had very little metal slivers). I think the car is ready. This route on I-15 is relatively straight but it is steep in some places near Mountain Pass and Halloran Sprgs. I will not use the AC and will run the car hard on the inclines; see how it responds. Kind of like sea trials going to test depth. Excited about it. Thanks for all the help getting my car on the road again//remigio// |

Mucha suerte/good luck in your trip.
... I think that this voyage should have pictures to add to this thread, especially if it is your first shake-down...
