Project Elephant - True outlaw

It's officially an outlaw now. "The man" came by to put some heat on me last night.

Seems the neighbors didn't like the noise at 3:00 am. But time is running out and hey, sleep is overated.

Two cops came strolling up with flashlights to find me working away on a fender under a canopy of lights. They declined to be photographed next to the car. They were pretty good about and didn't haul me away.

Do you think if the come back tonight they'll warm up to me a let me get a picture?

Anyway, it's a roller now with full suspension. The body panels are mostly prepped and get painted today.

As expected, everything takes longer than expect. Time is very short and it's gonna be a close race.

Wow this is exciting. I feel like I am watching a TV show season finale with the cliffhanger being... Will Chuck make it to Rallye de Monterey.

Good luck. If I lived in the neighborhood, I would volunteer to help.

Outlaw! Welcome to the club.

Wouldn't it be funny if the cops showed up tonight in their overalls to do some work?

Time is short, but I have faith. You're doing a great job.

First the clock, now the cops... I'm curious to see what's next.

Just in case, leave a couple of cold Cokes and beers out in the garage to grease whatever negotiations you're going to have to have with the gendarme or your neighbors.

Good luck, Chuck. I think you'll get it done, but Ripped Fuel (the Ma Huang Red Label stuff) would make it "easier."
