Lets see impact cars with 15" wheels
It's has been said that going to 15" wheels can give a car a little more seat of the pants acceleration... wondering if those who have change notice any performance improvement,
Also wondering how the beefier looks sets with the impact cars that seem to run 16's more often. Thanks for indulging all my silly questions. |

And there you have it. One single solitary car still runs 15s. Thanks for stopping by.

My bad. There are two cars in the whole world unless they are changing colors using Photochop. Thanks for stopping by.

![]() 205/50-15 all around for track day, sixes and sevens ![]() Yeah, not gonna run goofy 16-18 inch wheel on RS cars or real RSR. Tires for the RSR come from England folded in a box. Always worry a bit while mounting them on the magnesium center lock rims...

Street Sleeper, that looks stock but is tastefully upgraded (IMHO) with 7x15s, factory 7:31, dialed in, upgraded suspension (turbo tie rods and bigger torsion rods/sways, Konis) hotrod 3.0 with 9.5 JE Pistons/Mahle cyl.,20/21 WebCams, 39mm intake and 38mm exhaust ports, SSIs, and early SS muffler, early CIS w/no smog, oxygen sensor, etc. Basicallly a '78 top end and and 81 bottom end. Very fast and reliable combination in a light car. Certainly quicker than my 3.2 and bulletproof., etc...and of course, '74 sport seats, S-brakes, fatty wheel, LED lights, optima, high torque starter, hard oil lines, cooler and fan from an '89, etc.
![]() Same car with 6x15 wheels. ![]()

I', running 16x7 and 16x8 225 and 245 just wondering what advantage there would be to change, and how they would look....
Love the look, as I would like to push the feel of the car toward a more vintage feel. |

15's
I don't run em all the time but I have a set thats between tires right now (225 50 15 4x on 7"/8" so can be moved for wear). With my low car and living in the mountains its a bit inconvenient scraping the pavement on speed humps and transitions with them on. Fun at the track.
