huh?

Since finding this site I have learned so much (been 2 days now). Today at lunch i was checking out my engine and notice that my injection valves or the nuts that hold them in are very loose. I could turn them with my fingers. What would cause this? and what more should do other than just tighting them up.

RUN AWAY. This site will become a very expensive habit.

nothing...on my 2.7 I could turn them by hand, but this was normal. You can't pull em out by hand as far as I know...I am sure one of the experts will chime in with more details.

Vey funny, I laughed at that comment but it is so true. I'm sure there is a spec for tightening those nuts unfortunately I don't know it off the top of my head. I would think a little more than hand tight wouldn't be a bad idea.

One of the best things you can do for your new car is to baseline the filters and oil. That is, change the air, gas, and oil filters, and put in fresh oil. If you have no records, also grab the toolkit and change the spark plugs, dist. cap, and rotor. If the plug leads are old, change them as well (these are not cheap, but you can make your own).

If you have H4 headlights (look at the front of them) consider putting in relays. $20.00 kit from M. Sucro (use Search).

If you have electric windows, strip open the door and grease the regulator (the scissor that lifts the window) heck- do this even if you have manual windows! Check the door stop and, using a mirror, look into the area where the door stop goes and note if you have ripped metal: VERY important to get this classic problem solved now.

Your Targa top may be noisy - possibly because the front edge of the "skin" points forward or even upward and catches air. Consider reskinning the top on a hot day where you can stretch the material for a tight finish. Top pins and new plastic covers for the rear may be in order.

There! That'll keep ya busy for awhile!
