Is front window trim structual ?

I need to remove and send my front window trim off to the powder coaters. When it returns I'm going to drive the car to the glass shop and have the front window replaced with a new seal, and have them replace the trim.

Can the car be driven with the trim removed or does it assist the seal in holding the glass into place?

Thanks
Rick

Rick, the trim is not "structual" in so far as holding the glass in, it is cosmetic. However it can not be placed back into the seal groove after you have placed the window back in. You will have to remove the trim and get it powdercoated to have it ready to go back into the new seal before the seal is used.
