Carfax help

Hello all if I want to look up an early 911 on a Carfax report, how would I do that

I understand that in order to get a Carfax report the vin needs to be 17 digits, but early 911's lets say a 1967 is one 6 digits, do I put 0's in front or in the back or what is the work around?

I'm not sure I would put any trust into a Carfax report on a 54 year old car.

And I don't know how to input the VIN

You don't....'83 is about it it. Mine has two reports because stupid people don't know the difference between O and 0....stupid in, gospel out.

It's a money making tool for the owners.

You can ask LEOs to make sure it's not stolen but if you're looking for flood damage, accidents, etc. you're going to have to look at the car.

81- my 81 has a carfax for what it is worth.

I would suggest to people to install the VINwiki app and put their cars details into it. You can backdate some entries if you want. It takes any vin and anyone can add a sighting . Over time a history of the car is built up.

Does your 81 have a 17 digit Porsche VIN? Or does it have an assigned one from a US DMV?
