Very cool and useful for opening while driving. Not something I will be doing- got a Targa! What parts did you use and how hard was it to do?

Love the idea.... Heck manually operated would be a plus for me.

Still in the proto phase. Sourced some motors from a Town and Country minivan. (a few of them, actually...but these seem to work well. ). Making custom brackets so there should be no physical mods to the chassis.

The slope is not slippery; in fact it is entirely frictionless.

Electric rear quarter windows is a neat feature on my e46 M3. It provides a nice air flow when the front windows are open, I use it quite a bit when temperatures are moderate.

I have most of the parts for opening rear quarter windows on my SC, but haven’t got around to installing them yet. Electronic actuation would be quite handy.

I couldn't get your video to play but that's ok, because I never got my resr quarter windows to fit properly anyway. They're supposed to pop out but they aren't quite the same shape as the body opening, so it rubs on the bottom trim.
